Quick Comment: Stanford Bank Ponzi Scheme

Come for Beaches, Stay for the Bank Fraud

Come for the Beaches, Stay for the Bank Fraud

I’ve been asked for my thoughts on the latest Ponzi scheme, the Stanford International Bank Certificate of Deposit Fraud…

#1  If you put your entire “life savings” into a bank in the Caribbean, chances are you’ve got something to hide, so…sucks for you.

#2  This is a CD paying out double what every other CD on the planet is paying…with no regard for the economic environment over the years.  The point of a CD is safety, so you got screwed because you were being a piggie about the yield on your “safety”.

#3  I hear “Sir” Allen Stanford is MIA…good, hopefully a local in Antigua slid down a coconut tree and beheaded the SOB with a Machete.

#4  Where do I apply for a “Sir” title from Antigua?  Is there a website or something?  Getting knighted in the Caribbean is just as dignified as Elton John and Mick Jagger being knighted in England, any day of the week.

I know it sounds crazy to put life savings into a Caribbean bank, unfortunately, the most south american people, affected by this scam, don´t have enough knowledge and about CD, In many cases like in Venezuela, people is really desperate in protecting their heritage out of the country due to the madness of government, and some take advantage of that need
