‘Apocalypse’, ‘Civil War’ Super Bowl Trailers

I like the direction they’ve taken the X-Men franchise toward since the First Class reboot and the subsequent merging of the two movie series. What’s interesting about the X-Men films is that they stand outside of the rest of the Marvel films because they’re owned by Fox – the deal was in place before Disney acquired the comic book company and all of its intellectual property.

The Captain America series, which is part and parcel of Disney’s Avengers universe is also coming along nicely. The continuity of characters and plot, along with their being woven seamlessly with all the other movies, has been masterful.

Here are the ad spots for the next films in each franchise that ran during the game last night:
