Chart o’ the Day: Global Growth Outlook by Country

The “house view” at DB on global growth grates by country, feel free to agree or disagree:

Despite the fact that global growth expectations have been marked down slightly since the start of the year, the outlook for the global recovery remains robust

Europe stands out as the undeniably positive story this year, even though the scope for further upside surprise is now limited following the upward revisions since the beginning of the year

In the US, data have rebounded from a soft Q1, and robust fundamentals should be reflected in stronger growth over coming quarters

In China, fiscal easing will now add to monetary easing; the stimulus should provide a boost to short-term growth and reduce downside risks

Beyond China, EM more broadly are struggling to gain traction, and even India, the only other major EM with a positive growth outlook, has seen short-term economic momentum weaken
