Broken Bells with Ringo Starr on Letterman

You may remember Broken Bells – the duo of The Shins’ James Mercer and experimental producer / DJ Danger Mouse (of The Grey Album fame) from their hit The High Road a few years back.

It’s cool that they came together once again to put out a new record. Last night they appeared on David Letterman for Beatles week – five nights of covers commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the Beatles playing The Ed Sullivan Show (Letterman currently occupies that very theater).

Below, Broken Bells covers the Beatles’ 1964 hit “And I Love Her” with a little help from Ringo Starr, from back in the day. This is awesome:
