Introducing The Takeaway at Investment News

My fellow advisors and assorted investment industry colleagues – I am pleased to announce a new feature at Investment News I’ll be doing called The Takeaway. This daily post is intended to be the premiere industry linkfest so that those of us who are busy all day can get up to speed in minutes each afternoon. I’ll be bringing you the most interesting, important and impactful (a word?) articles and blog commentary every day, sorting through reams of content to make sure you’ve got the best of what’s out there at your fingertips.

In addition, I’ll also be contributing stories about how advisors are using social media and technology to educate themselves and communicate with each other and clients in new and exciting ways. I’m very appreciative of this opportunity to write for IN, the most widely-read publication for our industry. I hope I can add value to your day, turn you on to helpful and informative content and occasionally even make you laugh.

InvestmentNews and Josh Brown have partnered to create a new daily blog for financial advisers that will highlight the most critical investment and advisory industry information on the web.

Mr. Brown, vice president of investments at Fusion Analytics Investment Partners and author of The Reformed Broker blog, will update the new InvestmentNews blog – The Takeaway — in the middle of every business day. The blog aims to provide a consolidated report of the most important news all around the web that could impact advisers, their businesses and their clients.

Mr. Brown, who previously authored “The Good Leads” blog for the Wall Street Journal, will also write regular blogs and columns for InvestmentNews on how advisers can practically, and actively, adopt social media strategies that will help their businesses evolve.
