Saturday Night Video: 'Everybody Jones' as Twitter Milestone

Jim Jones is an OK rapper, not a great one.  He hails from Cam’ron’s Uptown-based Dipset crew and has had a few hits of his own.

But let’s talk about this brand new video for the track Everybody Jones because I think it’s a milestone for Twitter.  The visuals of tweets and tweeting permeate the entire thing and they reinforce the fact that Twitter is to Hip Hop as Myspace was to alternative rock in the last decade.  The rappers love to tweet, perhaps more than any other group you can think of. And all those iPhones…that’s a whole ‘nother convo.
