Generational Differences in Attitudes Toward Money

In markets like these it’s very difficult to post.  I’ve got some pretty sensitive, short-term reversal stuff on for aggressive accounts that requires both eyes on the road.

In the meantime, here’s something I have up at WSJ today I think you’ll find very interesting…

TD Ameritrade released a the results of a fascinating survey the other day about how different generations view money management.  There are radical differences between how, say, Gen Y views financial success vs the Boomers.  There are also important differences in terms of each generation’s confidence, trusted news sources etc.

962 adults aged 21 through 80 were surveyed from last November and December.  One area of broad consensus is that money management is harder than it used to be…
