The Basis Point's Blogger Beef Post

Over at The Basis Point there’s a clever post up riffing on the minor dustup earlier this week between The Big Picture and Zero Hedge.

A parallel is drawn between bloggers and rappers, Tyler Durden is compared to Eminem while Barry Ritholtz is likened to Blackalicious crew member Gift of Gab.  And then somehow I’m mentioned in the end as someone who could “bridge the gap between the two blogs”.  I’m flattered but I don’t think either Tyler or Barry care all that much one way or the other.

Anyway, before sending you over to the post, I’ll add my two cents in as far as which rappers the bloggers would be:

Barry Ritholtz, to me, is the Notorious B.I.G. without a doubt.  Barry said he would rather have been “all three Beastie Boys”.  LOL.

Tyler Durden is Public Enemy.  The voice of dissent, leader of the revolution.  He is Chuck D when he blogs and a bit more like Flavor Flav when tweeting.

As for myself, I don’t see how I could be anyone other than Method Man.  StockTwits is the Wu Tang Clan.
