I Can Haz LOLFed?

can-haz-lolfed

Today, we’re going to talk about one of my guiltiest pleasures on the financial web, LOLFed.

I go through withdrawal when I can’t check in to see what Alyx and Jason have cooked up on LOLFed.com each day, as the economic and stock market news gets more and more ridiculous.

For the uninitiated, LOLFed is the only Wall Street/ financial site written in the LOLCats style, which combines an image (usually involving a cat) and an impact-fonted caption written in a bizarre but cool patois that is equal parts short bus and Eastern European accent.

A few examples:  CAPITALISM…UR DOIN IT RONG or UR RATE IS ZEROS NOW!

There are no shortage of sites that dissect every single headline coming from Wall Street, The Fed, The Treasury etc. these day, but none do it with the brevity, snark and overall coolness that LOLFed brings to the table.

So check in early and often, ’cause these days, laughter may be the best medicine for what ails us.
