The Wonder Year Documentary

One of the most prolific hip hop beatsmiths in the game today, 9th Wonder, has a documentary film coming out shortly.  In the trailer below, you’ll see guys like Method Man and Drake pop up,  If I tried to list all the big names that have utilized 9th Wonder’s talents over the years this post would fill the whole page.

His stuff is instantly recognizable – in an era of ringtone rappers, he’s continued the art form of constructing soundscapes around authentic 70’s soul samples found in the record crates.  Check this out and tell me you’re not psyched for the whole thing:
