Market Recap: Dollar Does the Warrior's Dance

The Reformed Broker, AKA the Firestarter, here with today’s Market Recap…

Let me get this straight…a Russian minister makes an offhand comment about how the US Dollar probably won’t lose it’s reserve currency status anytime soon and the entire market nosedives? 

I guess we really are being led around by the commodities…it hadn’t registered with me just how severe this relationship was until today’s 200 point beatdown in the Dow.  I remember a time when stocks did better with down oil, not worse.  I guess global demand is the beginning and end of the story for now.

Helicopter Ben or not, the Dollar did the Warrior’s Dance today and virtually every commodity-related stock suffered.
