GM Super-Psyched for Reinvention

[vodpod id=Groupvideo.2687464&w=425&h=350&fv=%26rel%3D0%26border%3D0%26]

It’s only June 7th and already, I have my Atrocity of the Month post prepared.

Someone tell me who in Crom’s name paid for this whitewash?  “We need to reinvent ourselves“?  Really?  Just a few months ago, the Rick Wagoner regime didn’t even consider bankruptcy an option, “it’s not even on the table,” we were told.

Not only is it on the table, it is the table!  It’s the entire room, the biggest industrial bankruptcy in American history.

Well, I guess we can’t turn the company around without a brand new, slickly-produced, denial-soaked commercial.

Did GM’s sharehol…um, I meant, did I pay for it?  As a taxpayer, did I cover a portion of the cost of this meaningless montage of American images designed to distract me from the fact that this union-controlled, citizen-funded rolling trainwreck has no business existing at all?  Can I at least get a good deal on an Escalade for my troubles?

And the unions who dragged this company into insolvency don’t deserve all of my ire…how many country club memberships for white collar failures am I chipping in for while I’m at it?  Can I at least play a round in Bloomfield Hills or wherever they play?

Keep producing these campaign commercials, I’ll keep NEVER buying a GM car again.
