Checking in / Most Influential Advisors

Haven’t updated here in a few days because I’ve been working with the folks at IMN at our Evidence-Based Investing Conference all week. It’s really been amazing so far, I can’t believe how great the crowd has been (over 700 registered guests!). And don’t even get me started on the speakers and panelists. One better than the next.

I’ll be posting all my thoughts on the event later this week, lots of interesting stuff to report. You can follow along #ebiwest on Twitter to see what people are saying / sharing.

Yesterday we watched Jeff Gundlach blaze through 50+ slides running down everything happening in the economy and markets. Rob Arnott (Research Affiliates) talked about timing factors and why value is such a great opportunity now. Michael Mauboussin (Credit Suisse) sat with Barry for a conversation about luck and skill, and there were a whole run of panels covering the gamut of investment issues.

Today we’ll see Jeff Sherman of DoubleLine present, the legendary Jane Wells interviewing Erin Brockovich and the CEO of Dimensional Funds making a rare conference appearance as our closing keynote. It’s going to be major. If you missed it, start planning to be at the EBI Conference we’re doing in New York this November 2nd.
