Introducing Joey Fishman, RWM Pacific Northwest

2015 has been an incredible year for my wealth management firm as we’ve deepened our bench on both the research side and in terms of our capabilities to deliver advice and portfolio help to clients.

Earlier this fall, we announced the formation of our Institutional Asset Management business, spearheaded by the one and only Ben Carlson. Shortly after, we welcomed Anthony and Dina Isola into the fold and talked about their focus on wealth management for teachers and professors.

Today, it gives me great pride to introduce you to the newest member of the RWM team, Joel “Joey” Fishman.

Whenever Barry and I look at Google Analytics to determine who our readers are and where they’re coming from geographically, we invariably see Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington among the top 10 cities. It’s very gratifying to have a large following and growing clientele in this market as we find the people to be urbane, sophisticated, interesting and technologically savvy. On a recent trip to Washington, Barry and my firm’s director of financial planning Kris had the opportunity to meet with investors on Bainbridge Island, on the Microsoft campus and all over the city of Seattle.

We’ve known for a long time that we wanted to establish a physical presence there, but finding the right advisor to represent us in the area didn’t happen overnight. When we met with Joey Fishman, we knew immediately that he was the guy.

Joey is very unique for our industry in that he’s got experience as both an advisor and a portfolio manager. Having someone who can interact with people on the planning level but who is also fluent in asset management and investing was a must for us, given the expectations of our clients. Joey is the total package and he gets exactly what we’re doing. We’re thrilled to have him heading up our Pacific Northwest region and we’re looking forward to our next visit to the area for sure!
