Introducing Anthony and Dina Isola

When you’re sitting in a room talking with Anthony Isola, the world outside may as well have stopped rotating. You would never know otherwise, because as he’s talking you are listening with rapt attention. You almost can’t believe the passion with which he speaks about his role as an investment counselor, his responsibility as a Certified Financial Planner. He’s the proverbial man on fire.

Tony’s on the edge of his seat – and you are on the edge of yours – as he recounts the myriad ways he’s seen unsuspecting people be confused, cajoled and straight up conned by the industry. You’re inspired as he quantifies the sheer size of the opportunity that fiduciary advisors have to save entire generations of investors from the brokerage machine, the annuity pimps and other assorted wolves in sheep’s clothing. I wrote the book about the dark side of how financial services are sold to Main Street, but Tony is practically writing the screenplay. The energy and sincerity is downright infectious.

When you find someone as passionate and as articulate as Anthony, the smartest thing you can do is get out of his way and watch him go. Or, if you’re on board with the mission, you can run alongside him, blocking and tackling all the way down the field. And that’s just what I’m going to do.

That’s why I’m proud to announce that Anthony, along with his wife and partner Dina Isola, have joined Ritholtz Wealth Management. Based in Stony Brook, Long Island, the Isolas built a wealth management practice from the ground up based on a very simple, yet profound idea: Everyone deserves conflict-free, high quality investment advice. Everyone.

As a former school teacher, Tony’s on a mission to help thousands of teachers and professors earn the retirement that they deserve. It won’t be easy. It will involve the unique challenge of balancing smart 403(b) decisions, intelligent investment choices and strategic income options. It will require a surfeit of ongoing education and communication, which is where Dina’s experience as a personal finance expert comes in.

Above all, it will take time, energy, patience and dedication on a massive scale. Fortunately, our protagonists in this story are up to the challenge. Tony and Dina are delivering this advice and service day-in and day-out to their clientele. We are honored to have them join the firm and bring their talents to bear on behalf of RWM.

You’re going to be hearing a lot more from Tony. Head over to his blog, A Teachable Moment, for his barn-burning introductory post:
