Bill Burr on Yoko Ono

Okay, this is totally not safe for work and beyond brutal. But it is absolutely deserved and true. I’ve read all the books and interviews on the Beatles rise and collapse, she is 100% the culprit and a horrible, selfish, self-promoting, talentless viper.

And so I love this bit from Bill Burr on her utter suckitude. I’d list the fifty other ways in which she’s a piece of garbage but if you know the history, there’s no need. Okay, one example I’ll give – she was pregnant during the recording of Abbey Road, the last time these guys could even stand each other after her sabotage of the White Album and Let It Be sessions, and she insisted on having a bed delivered to the studio so she could lay there and criticize Paul, George and Ringo’s playing with a microphone she’d had the engineers hook up. Sick maniac – as if anyone gave a shit about what she thought of anything.

And even though I’m talking about stuff that was 40 years ago, rest assured – she’s still an asshole. Witness her “empathy” for this other classless grifter animal Heather Mills for just a taste of her ethereally unapologetic attitude. Her defense through the whole thing was that John wanted what he wanted – leaving out the fact that he was having acid for breakfast and heroin for lunch, lost in a haze during the time she plotted to steal him and wreck all of his relationships.
