Not to be missed!

Crazy schedule today – taking my kid to a doctor and then back to back to back calls. But I wanted to call your attention to a few things that are not to be missed…

First, Ben Carlson, my firm’s director of institutional asset management, interviewed the founder of one of the non-profits we invest for. It’s a really interesting look at how investment policy statements and the organization’s mission need to be in sync from the get-go. We are really proud of the work Ben is doing with small- and mid-sized institutions at RWM.

Read it here:

Entrepreneurs, Technology & Investing in the Nonprofit Space: Q&A With Fractured Atlas Founder Adam Huttler (A Wealth Of Common Sense)

Zeke Faux is out with a new deep-dive about the penny stock con man who helped the Feds make a dozen big busts, before going rogue. This is a crazy story:

‘Bro, I’m Going Rogue’: The Wall Street Informant Who Double-Crossed the FBI (Bloomberg)

I haven’t heard this yet but people are raving about Patrick O’Shaugnessy’s newest podcast – in which he interviews his dad! If you don’t know, James O’Shaughnessy is a legend in the factor / quantitative investment business (full disclosure, he runs some money for our clients) and wrote the bible, What Works On Wall Street, almost two decades before the strategies he discussed would take over the mainstream. He’s also one of the nicest, most learned men I’ve ever known in this business. I’ll be listening later:

Premeditated Success, with Jim O’Shaughnessy – [Invest Like the Best, EP.29] (The Investor’s Field Guide)

Eddy Elfenbein did this great thing about investor and philanthropist David Rockefeller, who just passed away at the age of 101. He was the last surviving grandchild of John D. Rockefeller and a beloved figure who is estimated to have given away some $900 million over the course of his life. Please don’t miss this:

Lastly, today is my brother-in-arms Michael Batnick’s birthday. Celebrate by subscribing to his ridiculously good blog, where you’ll get a few really good posts sent your way every week:

The Irrelevant Investor

I’ll check in with you guys later.
