How to write a book

Four years ago, as I was putting the finishing touches on my book proposal outline for McGraw-Hill for Backstage Wall Street, I reached out to Jason Zweig. I was a huge fan of his articles for years and had recently read his annotated The Intelligent Investor volume.

Not only did Jason agree to be quoted for my book without a a moment’s hesitation, he also emailed me an informal guide of sorts that he’d written up. It was exactly what I needed at the time to get through that process.

A year later, when Tadas began work on the Abnormal Returns book, I forwarded Zweig’s guide along to him as well. It’s amazing advice for anyone who’s thinking about going down this path (god help them!).

And now, for what I believe is the first time ever, Zweig’s published it publicly.
