For those wondering, the last three years where the SPX started off with 3 straight down days were 2005, 1991, and 1985. Full year returns were +3%, +26.31%, and +26.33% respectively. 1991 actually started off with 6 straight down days (-5.80%), and then rallied ~19% by early February.
