New Marvin Gaye / Mos Def Mashup

Marvin Gaye died thirty years ago this month. Producer / DJ Amerigo Gazaway commemorates this anniversary with one of the nastiest mashups of all time – the ‘Yasiin Gaye’ album, which puts Yasiin Bey (the artist formerly known as Mos Def) over old school Marvin tracks and combines the two to come up with something totally new.

Today we got a new video for Ms Fat Booty that I totally love – it cuts back in forth between Bey now and Gaye back then. What a genius idea to mash these two up…
