Some recent mentions

This week I was live on air when the Nasdaq froze, ended up spending most of the afternoon helping to diseminate information as it came out from exchange officials and my trader friends from around The Street. I also got quoted a bunch on the story, which turned out to be a non-event given the sleepiness of late August trading – but it was a reminder of the system’s fragility, regardless.

Here’s me in TIME Magazine:

Computer Glitch Forces NASDAQ to Halt Trading (TIME)

And here’s my quote from Heidi Moore’s take at the Guardian:

Nasdaq CEO defends trading shutdown response amid criticism from investors (Guardian)

Also, I want to thank Amy McIlwaine for including me on her must-read blogger list. Amy literally wrote the book on advisor social media, btw:

The Best of the Best: Top Blogs That All Financial Advisors Should Be Following (Financial Social Media)

As you read this I’m in Philadelphia with the family for a nice relaxing weekend of site-seeing and screaming / being screamed at.

And maybe a cheesesteak.
