SNV: Public Enemy Number One!

Strong Island’s own Public Enemy has just been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame – only the fourth hip hop act ever to receive that honor.

PE came along for me during my early adolescence and what I loved about it most was how much my parents hated it. And it was much cooler than the other rap that was around then. MC Hammer, C&C Music Factory and Snap were what the lames were listening to in 1990, we had Chuck and Flav – who lived in the town next to ours and were making records that just beat us down.

Tonight, their induction ceremony will be broadcast on the Centric Network at 10pm ET (check your cable listings) as part of their Rebels Without a Pause doc.
