BILL CLINTON 2012

Watching Bill Clinton speak at the DNC last night, I couldn’t stop asking myself “why can’t we just have this guy again?”

Clinton took office in 1992, I was 15 and listening to a shitload of Pearl Jam.  The next 8 years were among the best of my life.  My parents were doing well, we moved to a bigger house.  If I wasn’t in school, I was on a basketball court or a baseball field. Girls started taking their clothes off.  The neighbors had new cars all the time and everyone was happy.  The movies were awesome and the TV shows were the best of all time (Seinfeld? Friends? News Radio? Are you kidding me?).

And the economy was ridic.  You can say that it’s because of Boomer demographics or the GOP-led congress or whatever, but whatever, things were great. The only thing Clinton did wrong was have extra-marital sex and try to cover it up. Outside of that, he was likable and smart and ran the world like a bawse.

Last night he tore the roof off of the DNC and probably moved some undecideds over to Obama.  The Republicans don’t have a guy who could do that for Mittens – they didn’t even invite the Bushes to their play.
