New Van Halen Video!

I think I’m going to see them when they hit Madison Square Garden…

This is very exciting stuff for an 80’s baby like myself.  Some of my earliest memories are of sitting in front of MTV all day waiting for a David Lee Roth appearance or video.  He was the coolest – the guy with all the chicks and the clothes and the karate kicks that looked, shall we say, self-taught.  I didn’t even know I liked girls until the California Girls video (not technically Van Halen, a solo effort, but still) came out and stayed in regular rotation for what seemed like years.

My babysitter used  to totally ignore my little brother and I while trying to work out the Panama solo on his guitar.  For hours.  Which gave Zack and I time to light things on fire in the backyard.  Good times.

Anyway, David Lee Roth is back with Van Halen and they haven’t killed each other yet which is a good sign.  They have a new video and song out (below) and I’m going to go home tonight and figure out how to convert my cassette tape of 1984 into an MP3.  Rock on!
