The below map comes to us from a much larger (hence, unbloggable) infograph at Mint.com.  You’re looking at fiscal 2011 budget shortfalls by state.

There are a handful of states that haven’t completely blown it, they tend to be magical states where there are very few people, a lower need of services, and polar bears serve as legislators.
