ADP Solid, Mubarak Pulls a Stunt, Getting My Ferris Bueller On

First things first, a much better-than-expected January ADP report with the employment change at 187K vs. 140K.

Cool, but Friday’s NFP number will be more important (and judging from recent releases, way less predictable).

Also, this stunt Mubarak has pulled this morning with fake, paid counter-protesters claiming to support him is farcical.  I doubt he ran this one by Obama when they Skyped last night.  And sending them trampling through the square on camels?  Trés theatrical, big guy.

Lastly, I’m working from home today due to the fact that it’s literally raining shards of ice right now in my idyllic South Shore hamlet.

And by “working from home”, I mean making a handful of client calls, watching my daughter’s gymnastics class for the first time, ordering in lunch, some maintenance trading and then stealing Cameron’s dad’s car for a wild day in Chicago, cheetah print vest optional.

Principal Rooney will not be amused.
