Reminiscences of a Stock Operator Annotated Edition – The greatest book about trading ever written, now gorgeously illustrated and annotated.  A slam dunk for the trader or investor on your list.

Music:

Write About Love Belle and Sebastian make yet another album full of beautifully crafted songs.  The title track would be a number 1 radio hit if there was still real radio in this country.

Broken Bells The singer/songwriter from the Shins collaborates with Danger Mouse of Gnarls Barkley, need I say more?  Key tracks “Daughter” and “The High Road” are already stuck in your head, you just didn’t know who sang them.

Together – Canadian supergroup The New Pornographers make the alternative rock record of the year.  Again.  You can listen to the album all the way through and have a very tough time picking your favorite track.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy – Sorry haters, but the hype is deserved for Kanye West’s new masterpiece.  He’s now putting out art that transcends the hip hop genre and is on a par with some of Stevie Wonder’s mid-70’s work.
