The Data Chase: Consumer Sentiment and Q4 GDP

Here’s the data, below will be some commentary from around the econoblogosphere.

Market seems happy as of this morning…

Consumer Senitment:  The Reuters/University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index came in at 74.4 for January, up from 72.8 in December and ahead of consensus expecations of 73.0.

GDP:  The economy grew for a second straight quarter from October through December, posting a 5.7 percent annual rate, the fastest pace since the third quarter of 2003.

5.7% Advance Q4 GDP Blows Out Estimates: Inventories Add 3.39% (Zero Hedge)

Economy in U.S. Grew at 5.7% Pace, Most in Six Years (Bloomberg)
