This Just In: Cuomo Wants AIG Names by 4PM

Headlines from Reuters:

March 16 (Reuters) – New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo issued a letter to American International Group Inc AIG Chief Executive Edward Liddy:
 * Cuomo threatens to subpoena American International Group Inc AIG over bonuses
 * Cuomo says has requested list of individuals who are to receive payments
under retention plan, as well as positions at the firm

 * Cuomo says it is “surprising” that AIG has yet to provide such details on
retention payments
 * Cuomo also requests description of each individual’s job description and
performance at AIG Financial products
 * Cuomo says investigating whether bonus recipients were involved in conduct
leading to AIG bailout, and whether the bonus payments are contractually
required or can be voided under ny law
 * Cuomo demands information from AIG by 4 p.m. today, Monday
 * Cuomo also seeks information on whether the AIG bonus recipients “are truly
required to unwind AIG Financial products’ positions”
 * Cuomo says “we owe it to the taxpayers to take every possible action to stop
unwarranted bonus payments to those who caused the AIG meltdown”
