At the request of so many investment advisors, my friends at Riskalyze share the big trends in the assets going into and coming out of advisor portfolios every week. The underlying data is aggregated from hundreds of thousands of client accounts across the $44 billion and counting that advisors manage on the Riskalyze platform*. I hope we can uncover interesting trends for you each week…

June 20th -27th

Winners (advisor flows TO these investments increased substantially):  
  1. Cash/money Market
  2. Non-Traded REITs
  3. British Petroleum (BP)

Losers (advisor flows FROM these investments increased substantially):

  1. International Equity (EFA IEFA, DFIEX, EFV)
  2. US Equity (SCHB, ITOT, DFQTX, DFEOX, VTI, VTSAX)
  3. Strategic Income (PTTRX, BABIX, LALDX)

Josh here – don’t fall out of your chair when I tell you that advisors spent the last Greece-tinged week raising cash and selling international stocks.

The non-traded REIT thing is interesting/weird. Guessing those purchases are happening among the hybrid advisor-brokers, but don’t quote me on that.

More selling of non-traditional / unconstrained bond funds (aka strategic income) too.
