JJ Cale was the blues guitarist whose songs, including Cocaine and After Midnight, were made famous by Eric Clapton. He’s dead at 74 today of a heart attack.
Cale recorded 14 studio albums and won a contemporary blues Grammy for The Road to Escondido in 2008.
