Unemployed MBA Students by College

It is a very difficult thing to spend $500,000 on an education only to find out that your degree isn’t in demand in the post Finance-Insurance-Real-Estate world.

It’s too bad some of these kids didn’t learn to build or create stuff now that the era of Wall Street Engorgement is over.  Unfortunately, even despite the shocking stats you’re about to see, enrollment in B-Schools is still incredibly high.  It hasn’t become apparent yet that Degrees don’t necessarily equal Skills.

From BusinessWeek via Mises.org, here are the percentages of unemployed MBA students by school; they’ve compared 2009 to 2007 so we can look at how drastically things have changed:
