There is no value in your portfolio without these two holdings

Over the last five years, I’ve been fortunate enough to have gotten to know Joe Terranova.

Joe is an investment strategist at a multi-billion dollar fund company, he’s a castmate of mine on our show The Halftime Report and he coaches his kids in serious travel sports all year round. I’ve learned a lot from him over the years and he’s always a great person to go to for advice or to bounce ideas off. I am lucky to be able to call him my friend.

I bring this up because Joe has gone public with his story and I think it’s one of the best, most poignant things I’ve read all year. Joe’s been quietly struggling with a health issue since last Thanksgiving. I’ve watched with amazement as he’s handled it while balancing all of the other aspects of his life and career with aplomb. He and I may debate investment ideas and such, but when it comes to the big things in life, I wouldn’t dare. This is a guy who’s truly got it figured out.
