The Best of TRB 2014 – Fun Stuff

This week I’m in Disney World with the family, our first proper vacation all together in years. As such, I’m off the grid and away from computers of any kind (I’m trying to stay married, you guys). But while I’m gone, I’ve left you some stuff to catch up on…

These were the biggest posts – as read and shared by you – during the first quarter of this year. The theme of today’s collection is the fun stuff we’ve done so far in 2014. The importance of bringing a sense of fun to what we’re doing in the markets cannot be overstated. Satire can teach and punctuate some important points in ways that more straightforward pedantry simply cannot. Sid Caesar once said that “Comedy has to be based on truth.  You take the truth and you put a little curlicue at the end.” Dorothy Parker echoed this sentiment, reminding us that “Wit has truth in it; wise-cracking is simply calisthenics with words.”

In that spirit, I hope you enjoy the below. – JB
