Nas – Daughters

Trying to do so-called Conscientious Rap has been very risky for hip hop artists historically, outside of the subgenre’s early-90’s heyday.  But Nas was always one of those rappers for whom it came naturally (see I Can) and he really nails it with his true-to-life and poignant new joint Daughters.

I thought this was really apropos for all the dads raising little girls out there today, enjoy!
