Droppin' Knowledge: Howard Davidowitz Unleashed!

[vodpod id=ExternalVideo.865317&w=425&h=350&fv=]

Something about Howard Davidowitz gets me pumped!  Even when the subject he’s pontificating on is universally negative, such as the prospects for most retailers and consumers this year.

In the above video from Yahoo‘s Tech Ticker, the retail industry maven keeps it real and confesses his utter shock at the disconnect between consumer/ national debt fundamentals and the recent rise in the stock market.  At one point, Blodget looks like he wants to get an umbrella to block the fury and spittle coming from his interview subject’s general direction.

Davidowitz’s incredulity can be summed up by this line:  “I respect the market, maybe they’re right…but I don’t get it.”

Oh yeah, then he blurted out something about a Death Spriral.  Awesome.
